In response to John's blog: More often than not, we tend to take the things we have for granted. It is true that at intervals, we ought to take stock of our lives and count our blessings. Be thankful for those dear to us and especially our mothers, on this occasion that celebrates the noblest of all women on this good earth.
It was a simple affair back at my humble abode, a heartwarming family reunion spanning three generations... over a sumptuous spread of roast duck, mutton curry, drunken prawns, steamed fish, stir-fried vegetables, fried chicken wings and fried beancurd. Just in case you're wondering, there was only ONE chef for the day and no, sorry to disappoint you guys, it wasn't me... but ...
